Together with the Margarita Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature the Forum of Slavic Cultures opened the Centre of Slavic Cultures in the Russian capital in December 2016 and immediately started with a diverse programme. In January 14 different events were held and were attended by more than 400 visitors. February was dedicated to Slovene culture. Among other activities there were several lectures, a presentation of the first Russian scientific monograph on Slovenian poet France Prešeren and the Anthology of Slovenian Drama, the presentation of contemporary Slovenian film, projections of classic cartoons, an inauguration of a photographic exhibition, a masquerade and a beginner’s course of the Slovenian language. All events since the inauguration have had excellent attendance. The March programme in the Centre of Slavic Cultures in Moscow will be dedicated to the cultural tradition of Bulgaria.
