The travelling international exhibition “Paths of Education in the Slavic World” that will be on display in the Slovenian School Museum until 21 April 2017 was created at the initiative of the Historical Association of Slovenia and the Forum of Slavic Cultures.
As a result of co-operation of school and pedagogical museums from Slavic countries, other institutions and individual experts an exhibition was created that presents education as part of culture, which influenced the language, culture and national identity through education of intellectuals and a wider literacy of the rural population.
Education in individual Slavic countries is presented in six thematic follows six thematic entities: Steps in development of literacy, Pedagogues and teachers, School buildings, School lessons, School textbooks and pedagogical literature, Teaching aids and school equipment.
